Be Who You Really Are! It’s Good For You (& Your Business!)

Hey everyone!

I hope you are having an amazing week.  I don’t know about you but I almost can’t believe it is 1st August today.  The year has passed by so quickly but it’s been an awesome journey.  For some reason I’ve had many messages pop into my inbox, show up on my Facebook timelines and be sent in other sorts of ways to remind me that it is so important that each and every one of us makes a choice to be our best selves.  I know this in my thoughts and I generally know this in my heart but I tend to view the multiple appearance of messages about the same thing as a reminder to really embrace whatever I am being told with my whole heart and from a place of genuine belief.

I don’t know about you but I often find that if the message is something I am being asked to take notice of then other people around me could also do with a reminder.  It’s often these reminders that spark my urge to share a new blog post with you.  Sometimes it is simply about paying attention!

So today’s big message is inspired by a questions I read in the first of these ‘reminders’ that I noticed when checking my emails before my early meeting.  It simply asked

“What would it take for you to really be you?”

The fabulous thing was that I didn’t have to go too far to discover (or be reminded of) the answers.  Here’s my top 4 tips for being and loving who you are.  As I implied in the title of this post, being who you really are is good for you and for your business.

1. Breakup With Guilt

How long are you prepared to feel guilty for?  How does feeling guilty (about anything) really support you and what you are trying to achieve?  Guilt is a great friend of fear and comparison.  Together these three friends can easily collude and send you spiraling into a great big mess that leaves you feeling less than and that’s just not ok.  It is time for you to move through the cycle of self-acceptance into the space of more than enough.

If you don’t know how to drop the guilt then get some help from someone who can support you through the process.  You could also imagine guilt (or anything else you want to get rid of) as something you want to break up with.  Find the courage you need and just break up with guilt.  Move on and leave guilt where it belongs – somewhere as far away from you as possible!

2. Discover And Use Your Core Strengths

I know, I know, I go on about this a lot.  I do that because it’s important.  When you know your core strengths, that you can discover when you find out your personal leadership archetypes, you are blessed with an incredible gift.  Knowing what you are naturally good at and how to use those strengths to power yourself, your life and your business up is a magical experience.

It doesn’t take magic to make it happen but it’s so good when you are effortlessly using the gifts you were born with that it can’t help but feel magical.  If you want to find out what your core strengths are then book a Personal Leadership Profile Insights Session with me and you’ll be well on your way to maximising your success as effortlessly as possible.

3. Define Your Values

You may have heard this before.  Your values are the things that are most important to you and whether you know them or not they impact every area of your life.  We all have a core set of values that are like our inner guidance system.  If you don’t know yours then get out a blank piece of paper and at the top write “What things are most important to me?”  Then fill the page with as many things as you can think of.  Once you’ve done that see if you can narrow it down to your top 5 right now (hint: your values can and will change over time so just focus on what’s most important right now).  Then voila!  you have your current core values.  The next step is to use these to inspire what you do every day.

4. Make A Choice And Take Action

The foundation of personal leadership practice is making a committed choice and following through with committed action.  If something isn’t working too well for you then it’s likely that you haven’t really fully committed to the choice you think you made and you probably haven’t taken committed action either.  So don’t just allow the world to lead your life for you – take the reigns and become the leader in your life by being who you really are.  Don’t be afraid to show your true colour and to let others see you.  You are valuable and I am waiting for you to step up and be who you really are!

Have an amazing day filled with succulent effortless success everyone!
