Do You Inspire You?

There is a lot of talk going around these days about inspiration.  What I’ve noticed is that it’s usually all about who inspires us?  It’s focused on the external.  When do you ever hear anyone making reference to self-inspiration?Is there even such a thing?

Sounds a bit strange I guess

I want to assure you it’s very real (In fact I think it’s an essential to you living your life of Creative Possibility but that’s for sharing another time)

Now I’m not suggesting for a moment that external inspiration is a bad thing.  It’s not!  I get inspired every single day by all sorts of things and I am certain you do too

Today alone I felt incredibly inspired by the clients I worked with, the beautiful blue sky I saw when I looked out of my studio window, the words I read in a book, a card I received from a friend, the yummy dinner I shared with my hubby James….

There are many things that inspire me each and every day.  I see inspiration as the things that spark me into action, the moments in time where I find the treasures and magic, the times when I have complete clarity and the times when I feel connected to my inner wisdom

Inspiration is also to do with mental stimulation; generally the sort that makes you feel great, makes you smile!  it might come in the form of a thought, an image, something you read or hear.  Inspiration is found in all sorts of packages, big and small, colourful and plain

Have you ever considered that you are a source of inspiration?  Inspiration for others and for yourself?

If you can be inspired by external things, why can’t you be inspired by yourself, from the inside so to speak?

I’m just going to leave you with that thought.  Let it ‘cook’ as one of my teachers would say.  Try it on, this self-inspiration thing and see how it feels. You might be surprised that it’ll be a better fit that you imagined

Look in the mirror and dare to see what inspires you looking back……
