Vision Board? Vision Book? What does a Biz Goddess seeking success do?

Now to start this post I am going to assume, wrongly or rightly that you have heard the terms vision board and vision book?  Perhaps you even use these tools to define what it is you want to achieve in your life and, or, your business.  They are really powerful tools to use to cement visions (aka images) of things you want to attract or achieve in your life into your subconscious

If you have been listening to my free audio series ‘Biz Goddess Success Tips’ then you have probably listened to the first tip in which I talk all about vision and how important that is to you knowing where you are headed with your life and your business.  In that audio tip I also shared with you a little known ‘secret’ – the fact that our minds do not actually know what is not true, so we can use tools such as vision boards and vision books to our advantage by feeding our minds with images of things we want in life as though we already have them

There is a significant part of our brains that responds to visual stimulation.  With a background in Art Therapy and health care as well as coaching, I know all too well the power of visual stimulation and the advantages available to us when we stimulate the visual part of our brain.  With the knowledge that our brains create a reality based on what we feed them I believe we can all benefit from being aware of exactly what it is that we are feeding our brains in terms of visual stimulation……

I have been using both vision boards and vision books regularly for many years and find both tools to be essential to capturing what it is I want to attract into my life.  If you haven’t ever created one then read on for tips on how to get the best out of your vision board or vision book;

A very basic and fun way of creating a vision board is by taking a big piece of sturdy card, scissors, glue and tons of magazines. Go through the magazines and search for images of your dreams, or search for the right images on the internet. Cut out the images and glue them on your card.  If you want to create a vision book then simply get yourself a journal or sketch book with plenty of pages.  A spiral bound book is great as it will adjust to fit all of the images you will be adding to your book

For more power, add affirmations such as “I love driving my new car (and add details / name of the specific car)” or “I spend lots of quality time with my family” or “I am known as an expert in my field”. This reinforces what you desire. Hang your vision board on a spot where you will see it on a very regular basis, such as at your desk or somewhere else you spend a lot of time each day. Look at it daily, and really FEEL as if you have already achieved the things on your board. It is precisely this FEELING that will help you to attract your vision into your life. Make sure to look at your board as often as possible with focused intent. You will be happily surprised to see the things on your vision board show up in your life -sooner or later- providing you keep putting your intention on them and you stay positive and inspired.

By looking at your vision board or book on a consistent (no less than daily) basis, you will manifest the life you truly desire and absolutely deserve!

I’d love to hear how your vision board or book works for you so please add your comments below
