Visioning Life Resolutions

Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 2Visioning Life Resolutions

I have to be honest that as someone who works with people on their goals and achieving them (as effortlessly as possible of course), at this time of year there feels like an expectation that I should write something about goal setting, making new years resolutions, planning, intention setting, reflecting and so on and so on

The problem I have with that is that these activities are something I believe you should do regularly.  They are not just for the new year.  How can you expect to achieve what you want in life if you don’t regularly reflect, plan, take action and celebrate when you get the results you’ve worked for?  I don’t think you can.  Nothing happens by accident.  The outcomes you experience are a direct result of the effort you put in and the intention and planning around that.  It’s a wholistic process and experience in my opinion

Saying all that I noticed one very awesome term in a story I read on-line yesterday.  It was about making and visioning life resolutions, not just saving them for new year each year.  I loved how limitless that was and decided that my resolutions (the intentions I have and the committed action I’m going to take) are going to be life long, not just for the first few weeks of the coming year

My life resolutions are

1. To be a healthy person

2. To fill my days with colour and live

3. To make and sustain meaningful, purposeful, equal connections with dynamic, creative, inspiring people

4. To tell the people I love that I love them as much as possible

5. To release any limitations that are holding me back from living my own innate potential and realising the dreams I have for myself, my family, my clients, my community, my world

If you took 5 minutes right now to create 5 life resolutions what would they be?  Share yours below

Woo Hoo!!! Wow! Great “intentions” my friend!

    5 life long intentions/resolutions:
    a) let go of the past and enjoy the moment
    b) savor the little things
    c) enjoy the beauty surrounding me — even if it is just my back yard LOL
    d) be more creative — in other words, get off my bum and start sewing some more LOL
    e) make EVERY DAY a HAPPY and WONDERFUL DAY!!! no matter what!!!

those are what I can come up with on the fly! — taking a moment to jot them down in my journal so I don’t forget LOLs

Enjoyed your words of wisdom Shannon … thank you for bringing a few thoughts back home.
Expanding on your number 4 resolution, it is so important to tell people how much you love them. We seem to do it out of habit within our family. A ritual I just would not want to break. You never know what is around the corner. Live each and every day as your last and your first! I also love your idea of filling your days with colour … life is colour! Blessings for a wonderful 2013

    Great goals for 2013.

The only goal that can keep you at what you are, is to be happy and take the moment as it comes in.

Wishing you a happy and a healthy 2013.
